Product Description
Waht is HIP
Hot Isostatic Pressing process means simultaneously applying high temperature and high pressure on materials using inert gas as transfer medium to eliminate the internal defects of castings or to produce high-performance powder metallurgy products, in addition, the realization of diffusion bonding between different materials.
Some of our HIP Products
Working Principle of HIP
Extremely high temperature and high pressure are simultaneously applied on. Such process force materials to flow in the solid state and to diffuse at atomic level, thus to eliminate the micro porosity. A fully dense and uniform internal structure will be get as well as excellent mechanical properties, like fracture toughness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and fatigue strength.
HIP Technology and Service
According to different performance requirements there are three key hip services:
HIP Technology
Densification was originally a heat treatment process for high-performance required products such as for aerospace. Defects such as shrinkage porosity, shrinkage hole, segregation and so on, in castings can be eliminated under high temperature and high pressure. The dimensional integrity, microstructure uniformity, tensile strength, yield strength and especially fatigue performance of the parts can be greatly improved.
Materials Can be Densified by HIP
In recent years, with the increasing of product performance requirements, the HIP densification treatment is not only limited to castings. 3d-printing parts, injection molding parts, high-performance sintered parts, etc., and the material system has been expanded from titanium alloy and high-temperature alloy to magnesium alloy and aluminum alloy. Applications range from aerospace to nuclear power, oil and target materials. Theoretically, all metal products can be densified, but there are some material systems that being maturely applied:
HIP Technology - Powder Consolidation
Based on powder metallurgy principle, HIP technology can make the powder material solidify into a more compact finished product.
Raw materials can be metals, polymers, ceramics, composite materials, etc.
Near Net Shape - Design the capsule which has similar figure to the final product.
Powder filling , hot pressing Simple machining process to get the final required figure and size.

General Manufacturing Process
CSRI made a lot of achievements in the entire HIP Isostatic Pressing Equipment using field (consolidating powders, upgrading castings, densifying presintered components, interfacial bonding) and the material research of HIP products (super alloy, high speed steel, Ti alloy, Al alloy, ceramics materials, composites, etc. ). Now, CISRI has became theCIP/ HIP Isostatic Pressing Equipment R&D center and HIP equipment using center in China.
In past 10 years, every year CISRI designed and manufactured more than 30 sets in both domestic and overseas.
Now, we also provide Heat Isostatic Pressing service for your products.
Welcome to send inquire to us, we will be glad to quote base on your specified drawings of requirements.
